ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Luke Percy was born in Takapuna New Zealand. Luke has always enjoyed creative writing from a young age. As a class clown at 7 years old, a frustrated teacher sent him to the school library to sit quietly writing, it’s from this he wrote a twenty-five-page short fantasy story about knights and dragons.
Now thirty-seven years later, Luke currently resides in Wellington New Zealand, raising a young family of two with his wonderful wife Lynley of 10 years. As a video game journalist, Luke has written for a few magazines and websites; however, he has always wanted to do something more creative, and after playing a tabletop role-playing game with a few friends online – thanks to the COVID-19 lockdowns – it’s this adventure that inspired Luke to write his first horror based on the scenario created by the talented Shanon Stevens. The story sparked an idea to self-publish this book, set from the perspective of the character Luke had created, providing the opportunity and inspiration to research New Zealand history in the 1920s and the self-publishing process.
