ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Penelope Todd of Dunedin is an award-winning author of fiction: the YA Watermark trilogy; Peri, Box and others, Island, Amigas (co-written in English and Spanish) and much-loved memoir Digging For Spain: a Writer’s Journey. She has gained residencies at the Iowa
International Writing Programme, Chateau de Lavigny in Switzerland, in Catalonia and Argentina and at the Dunedin College of Education. In recent years she has published original ebooks at Rosa Mira Books and worked as a literary assessor and editing for Gecko Press, children's books in translation. She is nourished by friends, family, books and garden, and by going into the hills and harbour, summer and winter.
